The BPL80-12 belongs to the BPL series (general purpose long life) and is a 12 V monobloc valve-regulated lead-acid battery with a Nominal Capacity of 80 Ah at the 20-hour rate. The housing is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic, the battery cover is firmly bonded to the housing, and the terminal area is sealed to achieve a leak-proof design with no free acid; the standard Terminal Type is I2, for convenient and reliable installation.
The internal positive and negative plates are coated with special paste active material and use absorbed glass mat technology, improving performance efficiency and achieving efficient internal oxygen recombination, thereby meeting Maintenance Free requirements with no water topping-up throughout the service life. The top cover has six process holes used during production for filling electrolyte, after which dedicated pressure relief valves made of non-flammable material are installed to promptly release excess gas that may accumulate inside, and it is equipped with an explosion-proof filter and flame arrestor.
Installation is flexible: it can be safely installed in horizontal or vertical positions, but inverted use is prohibited. The battery has a low self-discharge rate and is suitable for long-term standby; in addition to 80 Ah at the 20-hour rate, the 5-hour rate capacity is 68 Ah, and at the 30-minute rate it can provide 40 Ah, making it suitable for applications requiring 30 minutes or longer backup time.
