The B.B. Battery BPS5-12 belongs to the BPS series of valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) batteries, with an overall voltage of 12 V. The battery uses an opaque impact-resistant ABS plastic housing, the battery cover is firmly connected to the case, and the terminal area is sealed. The standard configuration is a T1 Terminal Type, with an optional T2 Terminal Type also available.
During production, the electrolyte is filled through six dedicated holes in the battery cover, after which a pressure relief valve made of non-flammable material is installed to keep the internal pressure within a safe range. Both the positive and negative plates are coated with a special paste active material, which, combined with absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology, achieves efficient internal oxygen recombination, thereby making the battery Maintenance Free (no water topping-up required) and free of free acid (leak-proof battery), eliminating the risk of leakage. The battery has a low self-discharge rate and allows installation in both horizontal and vertical orientations (inverted use prohibited).
In terms of performance, the BPS5-12 has a Nominal Capacity of 5 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 4.75 Ah at the 10-hour rate, and 4.25 Ah at the 5-hour rate. The Weight is 1.8 kg. It is equipped with an explosion-proof filter and has a float application life of up to 10 years.
