BP17-12 is an important model of B.B. Battery BP series VRLA batteries, specifically providing stable and reliable power support for various key equipment. The series of batteries are produced in 4V, 6V, and 12V integrated forms, with capacities ranging from 1.0 to 230Ah. Specifically, BP17-12 is 12V voltage, with a nominal capacity of 17.0Ah (20-hour rate, final voltage 1.75V/cell), and has discharge capacities of 16.15Ah at 10-hour rate and 14.45Ah at 5-hour rate, meeting the endurance requirements in different scenarios.
The case is made of opaque impact-resistant ABS plastic (standard UL94 HB, with optional flame-retardant UL94 V-0 material). The battery cover is firmly connected to the case, and the terminal area is strictly sealed, effectively ensuring safety in use.The battery cover is equipped with six filling holes. During production, electrolyte is filled through these holes, and then a pressure relief valve is installed. The valve is made of non-combustible materials, which can significantly improve the safety of fire and explosion.
The positive and negative plates are both made of paste coating process, combined with an optimized internal structure design, ensuring that the battery has excellent charge and discharge performance and stability.
BP17-12 supports both horizontal and vertical installation methods, flexibly adapting to different equipment space layouts. Its core advantages are prominent: maintenance-free design without the need for fluid replenishment, non-leakage characteristics avoid the risk of electrolyte overflow, and low self-discharge rate (less than 3% per month) ensures good performance after long-term storage.Under normal working conditions, the expected service life of this battery is up to 8-10 years, meeting the long-life requirements of the Eurobat standard, and it is especially recommended for scenarios with backup times of 30 minutes or longer.
In terms of technical parameters, BP17-12 weighs about 6150g (13.56 lbs), with dimensions: length 181±1.5mm (7.13±0.06 inches), width 76±1.5mm (2.99±0.06 inches), total height 166±1.5mm (6.54±0.06 inches). The standard terminal type is B1 (compatible with M5 bolts and nuts), with optional T2 and I1 terminals; internal resistance at full charge is 16mΩ, maximum discharge current is 255A (5 seconds), and maximum charging current is 5.1A.The operating temperature range is wide: charging 0℃~40℃ (32°F~104°F), discharging -20℃~50℃ (-4°F~122°F), storage -20℃~40℃ (-4°F~104°F), adapting to diverse environments.
