Zelus GBS Series GBS12/170B.B. battery is a VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead-Acid) battery with gel electrolyte. The electrolyte is a gel formed by mixing sulfuric acid and silica fume, which is fixed immovably, effectively eliminating common problems of wet batteries such as electrolyte evaporation, overflow, and corrosion. The battery adopts solid lead coating technology, where antimony in the lead plate is replaced by calcium, reducing gas generation while maintaining mechanical properties. It is equipped with a valve regulation system to safely discharge gas and is suitable for horizontal and vertical installation. As a deep cycle lead-acid battery, GBS12/170B.B.Aims to provide maximum capacity and discharge cycle ability, with an expected service life of up to 12 years under normal working conditions and up to 2500 cycles (long service life according to Eurobat standards). Its nominal capacity is 170Ah/C100 (12V), with a capacity range covering 7-225Ah (specifically depending on the series, including different hour rates such as С2, С5, С8, С10, С20, С100). The battery is completely filled with gel inside, with efficient heat conduction, and the gel electrolyte effectively prevents acid stratification; it has maintenance-free characteristics, no need for water supplementation, and low self-discharge rate (capacity loss less than 2% per month);Special valves precisely control the opening and closing pressure, which is crucial for extending the cycle life, and it also has stronger resistance to extreme temperatures, impact and vibration resistance.
