Sulfuric acid is mixed with silica powder to form a gelled immobilized substance, which helps address electrolyte evaporation, spillage, and related corrosion issues. In this series, calcium replaces antimony in the lead plates, retaining mechanical characteristics while reducing gassing rates; combined with the precise pressure control of the patented safety valve, this further extends the overall battery service life. The precise distribution of the special valve's opening and closing pressures is critical to battery cycle life. These designs give the battery greater tolerance under extreme temperature, shock, and vibration conditions, with high mechanical strength and low acid displacement.
